Messages in Songs

I’ve been listening to songs all day that have some “reflection” of my life. One in particular is called “Georgy Girl” from the film of the same name. I listened to this song for five hours so I decided to write some new lyrics:

Oompa Guy

to the tune of “Georgy Girl”
by
The Nothing

Hey there, Oompa Guy
Swigin’ down some choc’late sugar-free
Nobody you meet could ever see your chocolate lair – inside there
Hey there, Oompa Guy
Why do all the girls just pass you by?
Could it be you just don’t try to be just a taller guy?
You’re always “veggie shopping” but never stopping to buy
So shed that Oompa chubness and fly – a little bit
Hey there, Oompa Guy
There’s another Oompa deep inside
Throw out all the sweets you hide and, oh, what a change there’d be
The world would see a new Oompa guy!
[Instrumental Interlude]
Hey there, Oompa Guy
Dreamin’ of the someone you could be
Life is a reality, you can’t always grab and eat
Don’t be so scared of changing and eating healthier pies
It’s time for whole grain bread from the shelf – a little bit
Hey there, Oompa Guy
There’s another Oompa deep inside
Throw out all the sweets you hide and, oh, what a change there’d be
The world would see a new Oompa guy!
(Hey there, Oompa Guy)
Wake up, Oompa Guy
(Hey there, Oompa Guy)
Come on, Oompa Guy
[Fade]
(Hey there, Oompa Guy)
Wake up, Oompa Guy
